The Brief
An elegant and unique black-fronted house in Mayfair’s Park Place is elegantly transformed from a 1960 purpose-built office into a multi-storey single residence.
Inspired by number ten Downing Street and designed by architects SHH, the eight-storey property located in a discreet cul-d-sac in the heart of St James's conservation area where neighbouring buildings include The Economist Buildings, the Grade I-listed Brooks’ Club and Royal Overseas League, plus the Embassy of Equatorial Guinea.
The project itself provided us with a very challenging logistical scenario as the tight location prevented the screed from being mixed on-site.
The Solution
WMS delivered ready mixed screed which allowed us to complete the programme within the short project window whilst overcoming the testing logistical location.
The Results
WMS delivered a fully integrated floor build up system that works perfectly with the high spec of floor coverings installed, on time and within budget. The amazing property praised for its interesting contemporary design, materials and contextual approach is now fully complete at a value of £25m.

I love working with high end residential projects, getting involved in the detail and then seeing the finished product is a brilliant feeling.
